The Cutting Edge Marching Band

Willard is a town of about 2,500 residents located 8 miles northwest
of Springfield. The high school is classified 3A and has around 900
students. The band program is very strong in Willard, with close to
1/4 of the school's population in band. With over 200 members,
the band chooses to compete in class 4A or 5A (depending on the
contest) despite being a 3A school.

The Cutting Edge is one of the top bands in Missouri and has a long
history of excellence. They are a 5-time Regional Grand Champion
of Music Bowl-Missouri. A feat that has never been duplicated. In
addition, they have made Finals in almost every competition they've
attended since 1985. In 1996, they attended the All-American
Music Festival in Orlando, FL. They were judged in the areas of
marching band, concert band, and jazz band. 46 other high school
bands from across the country competed against them. But it was
The Cutting Edge that was named the overall Grand Champion.

And the tradition of excellence continues each year...
