Dinosaur Webquest

Introduction
You have been reading Big Old Bones. In the story Professor Potts found dinosaur fossils during his trip across the Rocky Mountains. Professor Potts put the bones together and created dinosaur mix-ups. Your job is to become a junior paleontologist and learn about the dinosaurs that Professor Potts mixed up.

The Task
Choose a dinosaur and read about it. You will write a letter to Professor Potts and share three facts about the dinosaur you chose. You will also draw a picture so Professor Potts will know how to put the dinosaur bones together.

The Process
 

  • 1. Read about the dinosaur you chose by clicking on the link.
    2. Write three facts about the dinosaur on the fact sheet.
    3. Use your fact sheet to write a letter to Professor Potts.
    4. Draw a picture of your dinosaur.


Learning Advice

If you have trouble writing three facts about your dinosaur, remember to revisit the text.
