Director at SHHS for thirteen years, recent highlights include ten years of consecutive superior ratings in concert festivals, marching championships, and performances in the 1995 Festival of States, 1996 Macy's Parade, 1999 Tournament of Roses Parade, and 1999 TMEA Convention Concert Performance. Mr. Stites is a member of the board of the East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association and Tennessee Music Educators and was recently selected as a member of the American School Band Directors Association.

Assistant Director at SHHS for three years. Prior to moving to Science Hill, he taught at Unicoi High SChool in Erwin, Tennessee as Director of Bands for thirteen years. Duties at Science Hill include Symphonic Band II, Jazz Band, and Marching Band. Mr. Foster was responsible for the development fo a MIDI lab curriculum at Science Hill in 1997/1998. In addition to teaching for the Johnson City Schools, Mr. Foster is also Minister of Music at the Unaka Avenue Baptist Church in Johnson City. Mr. Foster is a graduate of East Tennessee State University.

Chris marched snare drum for The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps 1997. He was the former caption head of WGI Silver Medalist Virginia Helmsmen Percussion Ensemble. He is attending ETSU music education department. He is also an active consultant and adjunicator with ensembles in TN and VA.
