About Us

Operative: one who produces an appropriate effect; exerts force or influence; a secret agent.

Section One Roleplaying Group consists of groups of operatives involved in roleplaying missions based on the La Femme Nikita series. Each group consists of at least six members: Operations, Madeline, Michael, Walter, Nikita and Birkoff. There can be additional operatives added to each group at the discretion of Operations. We can set up as many groups as there are people interested in participating in them.

Group placement is at the sole discretion of Oversight. If you don't like your placement, you can request a change -- but ultimatly, the decision rests with Oversight. Each group has it's own Operations. Operations is the head of the group.

Missions occur based on the needs of Operations. Each mission will be ordered by Operations, along with Madeline. Birkoff will gather intel for the mission. Walter will prepare the weaponry needed for the mission. Michael will plan and run the mission. Michael and Nikita (and any other operatives who are added to the group) will execute the mission. Birkoff will run com for each mission. Madeline and Michael will handle interrogation of any hostiles brought into Section.

Each team member's responsibilities are as follows:


OPERATIONS:

Operations is the ultimate intelligence beaurocrat. He decides which missions to run and why. He is kept abreast of the activities of various international terrorist groups through intel received from Oversight, as well as through his relationships with those in government who are aware of Section's existence. Operations decides the plan of action and goal for each mission and directs his team to accomplish that end. He conducts mission briefings to lay out the goal for each mission. Prior to a mission briefing, he will distribute information to each member through their panel. Following all missions, he or Madeline will conduct debriefings of the operatives involved in the mission.

Within his group, he is the ultimate authority. He has the authority to decide when an operative's performace is sub-standard. He can choose to place that operative in abeyance or to cancel them altogether. If a cancellation occurs, the group will be put on hold until a suitable replacement can be arranged through Oversight.


MADELINE:

Madeline is Operation's eyes and ears in the Section. She is a master Strategist par excellence. She can read people with unsurpassed accuracy, and often plays them like pawns in a chess game. Her skills lie not in fighting or being in the field. Her expertise is deciphering the human mind.

She also functions as a sounding board for Operations. She offers input when requested (and sometimes when not requested) and her loyalty to Operations is unwavering. She also has a talent for extracting information from hostiles who've been captured and brought into Section for interrogation. You don't want to get into a "bitch contest" with Madeline -- you'll lose every time.

Her role within the group will be to evaluate operative performance, conduct emotional evaluations of operatives, provide input to Operations, conduct debriefings following missions, play head games with everyone, and to conduct interrogation of hostiles.


MICHAEL:

Michael is a level five operative and a team leader. He may not be #1 at Section, but you wouldn't know it by looking at him. He exudes power and presence. His role in the group is to plan mission execution. He works well on his feet, as plans often have to be altered on the fly. He has an eye for detail and is an aggressive player. His mental and physical skills are top notch. He is someone you don't want to cross.

Michael's role within the group will be to plan the execution of missions, as well as to train new operatives on his team. He also distributes mission information to operatives on his team through their panels. Occasionally, Michael participates in interrogation of hostiles brought into the Section.


NIKITA:

Nikita is a level three operative. She was trained by Michael and is as deadly as she is beautiful. She is flawless in the exucution of missions. Her position is usually point. She has honed her craft over the years and is a valuable operative to Section.

Nikita's role within the group will be to execute missions, as well as to assist Michael in planning them on occasion.


WALTER

Walter is the munitions master of Section One. He devises all types of weapons and gadgets to assist the operatives in the field. Although grumpy and outspoken, Walter takes his job seriously and provides the highest quality work possible.

Walter's role within the group will be to assess the weapon and equipment needs for each mission, to create any gadgets that may be needed, and to distribute weapons and equipment prior to a mission. Weapons and equipment are strictly supervised through a computerized inventory system. Walter is in charge of checking "out" and checking "in" all weapons and equipment.


BIRKOFF:

Birkoff is the computer wiz kid of Section One. He is the ultimate hacker, and frequently cracks codes for the most sophisticated computer systems in the world. His contribution to Section is invaluable.

Birkoff's role in the group will be to gather intel for upcoming missions, as well as to run com during active missions. He handles all the computer needs of Section -- from maintaining personnel files, to any other thing that Operations may throw at him.
