The first thing one notices about gFTP is the speed. It is remarkably quick and efficient. This FTP client has drag-and-drop support, and allows a person to upload (or download) numerous files and directories simultaneously. I was pleased with the stability. I used the program for a week and never had a problem. A downloaded binary rpm is less than 400KB - this client defintely doesn't belong in the bloatware category. The interface is intuitive and simple. There is also a generous amount of features, that while not neccessities, are useful. Take, for example, the timer that shows the estimated time left in the transfer. Other useful features include bookmarks, history lists in the toolbar, and viewing and editing of local and remote files.
