Bridge Bidding Program
This page is designed by Platon Beletsky for those bridge fans who like to play with computer. Many bridge playing programs are available now commercial and free, but none of them gets close to advanced player level. Yes, it's a hard and challenging task to build algorithms for good bridge play. Being limited in time and resources I couldn't attack this problem in full. I tried to computerize one aspect of bridge, namely two hands bidding.
Here you may download my program absolutely free. It requires a PC with any version of MS DOS or Windows. I worked on it on my leisure for 8 years: 1986 - 94. Sorry for old fashioned pre-Windows interface.
The program bids naturally close to the original Goren system. My goal was to make it understand and explain the bidding. For years I trained it in bidding competitions published in Polish Brydz Journal and finally it started gaining 70-80% of the expert optimum. Try it and see yourself.
