Piccolo is a Namek, an alien race with the characteristics of green skin, antennae, regenerative capabilities, and extendable arms. He is the child of Piccolo-Daimaou, the evil side of Kami-Sama, and whose job on Earth is to guard Earth's Dragonballs. Early on, he is enemies with Goku, but eventually they fight together enough that they become friends. When Piccolo and Goku fight Raditz, and Goku is killed, Piccolo trains Goku's son, Gohan. He is very strict in his training, and teaches Gohan disiplin. In the attack of Vageta and Nappa, Piccolo is killed when he sacrifices himself for Gohan. His only hope to come back is Gohan and Krillin, as they search the planet Namek for the seven dargonballs to wish him back
