Murrieta, Our Home TownMurrieta, the Gem of the Valley, is a rural community in Southwest Riverside County. We’re located about midway between Los Angeles and San Diego, and about 30 miles in from the coast. The Murrieta/Temecula area offers a number of family activities. There is an annual Balloon and Wine Festival, Hot Rod Run, and Rodeo. Children and parents enjoy youth sports such as soccer, baseball, football, in-line hockey, and basketball at our local parks. Nearby Lake Elsinore offers accommodations for a variety of boats and watercraft, as well as beaches to help cool of during the summer. You can take in a ball game at the Diamond, home of the Lake Elsinore Storm baseball club, a minor league affiliate of the Anaheim Angels. And we’re not too distant from professional baseball, football, basketball and hockey in San Diego and Los Angeles. Plan a day trip to the local mountains to enjoy some skiing, or to a beach in neighboring San Diego or Orange county.
