About Pack 614Pack 614 is a new Cub Scout Pack located in Murrieta, California. We are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable and rewarding Scouting experience for boys in the first through fifth grades, and their families. Our pack was chartered in February, 2000, on the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America. Our charter partner is Murrieta Rotary, and we share Rotary's commitment to serving our community through frequent service projects. Though our pack is new, our leaders are all trained and experienced Scouters, involved at the local, district and council levels. All of our member families are involved in the operation of the pack, whether it's planning and organizing an outing, helping to choose the "Best Dressed Scout" at a pack meeting, or keeping the books in order. You can't spell Scouting without "outing", and our pack gets "out" a lot! We host family campouts in the spring and fall, and offer many other opportunities throughout the year for the boys and their families to enjoy the outdoors, through hikes and other outings. Our fourth and fifth grade boys go camping several times a year in preparation for joining a Boy Scout troop. If you're not sure about camping and the outdoors, don't feel intimidated! Our leaders and families are here to help you, and our pack even has some equipment available to loan you. In fact, many of our families had never camped together prior to joining Scouts and might never have had the opportunity if not for the advice and guidance of our leaders! What if you don’t speak Cub Scout? Perhaps you’ve been thinking about Scouts, but feel a little apprehensive? Don’t worry! We’re here to answer your questions and make this one of the best experiences a boy and his family can have!
