In December of 1998, the Humane Society of the
United States revealed the results of an 18 month long
investigation on Asian fur trade. They found that upwards of 2
million dogs and cats are brutally slaughtered each year for
their fur. This fur is showing up in countries all over the world
and consumers are unknowingly contributing to the torture of
these animals. Furthermore, the fur is being labeled as Gae Wolf
and Sobaki in order to mislead consumers.
After the investigation was shown on Dateline, a large group of
concerned animal lovers from all over the world banned together
to form the group People Against Companion Animal Slaughter.
PACAS is dedicated to stopping millions of dogs and cats from
being skinned alive or hung form cages. Please join PACAS in its
