About Me
Personal Beliefs:I am not sure yet what they are. I am a Christian but not of any particular sect. I have great respect for people who firmly believe in something but not so much for those who only claim to believe. I do not go to church because as of yet I have not found one to which I agree with all of their practices on how to live life (not that I have necessarly been actively looking). The two most important things to me are Love and Knowledge. For me Love=God and so no matter what anyone says I will always believe in Love as I will always believe in God. I am believer in True Love / Eternal Love and Soul Mates. I hope to later tie that in with destiny / fate, sex, and other things later. I love learning new things - even useless stuff sometimes because of my belief of how everything is connected.Computers & Technology:I have come to possess a great foundness for technology and society. I often tell people that I hate and even fear technology because I see, along with most others, many things that could be perceived as evil coming from technology. Many of the movies / books on the Media page illustrate these notions by showing how "bad things" happen when man tries to take technology too far. So my responce and goal is to gain as much knowledge to not allow technology, "The Machine" to overtake me (think I am a little crazy dont ya?, It is ok because I probably am). As it says above, I am a Unix / Windows NT Systems Administrator / Webmaster / Oracle / Sybase Application Adminstrator and I handle misc. 3rd level network technical support. I hope later to add some computer related information and to show how that relates with philosophy. You can see from some of the definitions where the links with technology and philosophy exists. I would appreciate and questions so that I have a place to start.Music:In addtion to my obvious interest, I am great lover of music. I listen to many different styles of music: R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae (Lovers Rock, Roots & Dancehall), Pop, Rock, Alternative, Classical, Dance (Rave type music, techno, drum & bass, trance), salsa, merengue, Rap (very little), & New Age. (The list is no particular order other than the order appearing from my head.) I truely do listen to all of the styles that I listed and posses over 950 cd's.

I am probably more like a music junky more than just a lover of it. I listen to music when I get up, when I go out, while I develop this site, while I work out, while I eat, while I read, etc. I see music as a great form of human expression which is one of the reasons why I listen to so many different styles of music. I love hearing all the ideas of the world; the ideas on peoples' minds about the world is amazing. Books:I love to read. I read books on every topic listed under concepts and in the pictures on the home page and below. Books are defintely another great medium for knowledge and human expression. It is great to be able to read the knowledge from people that you can never meet regardless of their location or present physical state and for that matter mental state. |
