I
started making dance tracks at school around 1987 when house music was
just breaking from the underground into the UK charts. I used various
keyboards, multitrack tape recorders, drum machines, kitchen sinks and
anything else I could lay my hands on at the school's music department. (I lied about the kitchen sink). These early efforts were fairly average,
but quite amusing. After leaving school in 1989 my creative efforts were
halted due to a lack of equipment. In the early/mid 90's I bought an Atari
ST computer, which had some good sample sequencing software available for
it. Then around 1997 I built my first PC and started scouring the internet
for some decent software to start making music with.
I started of using Impulse Tracker which was good, but ran in DOS which
made it a bit awkward. I then used ModPlug Tracker which is Windows
based. I have now moved over to using FL Studio and hopefully will finish
making some of the tunes I have started sometime this century. I usually make
House tracks these days, but have
been known to wonder into other styles. If you have a track that you would
like remixed, get in touch and I will give it a go!
