For starters, "Cecily Hawkins" is not my real name. It's a bard name. I just happen to think it sounds nice.

I am a recent graduate from a university somewhere in the southeastern US. I was not an English major. I enjoy reading and writing far too much to ruin them with academic drudgery. :) (No offense to those of you who are either students or professors of English. My high school had a fairly rigorous English program and I've had my fill.) I have only professionally published (as in, been paid for) one short story. (Two other technical publishings, but they didn't send paychecks.) I don't feel that I have the time right now to do more.

Personal stuff... I attended single-sex school all the way up to college. I have one sister, no brothers. Religiously I'm Anglican with pagan leanings. I'm bisexual and currently engaged. I love Xena, Sailor Moon, Star Trek, scifi/fantasy in general, role-playing games, video games, theater, arts and crafts and all sorts of stuff. I have no pets, but if I did have one my first choice would be a cat. Or at least, I think I'd like to have a cat, but more likely I'm too scatterbrained to take care of anything more complicated than goldfish.
