M.A.M.A. has rescued thousands of abandoned and abused animals and placed them in loving homes over the past ten years.
We presently care for a number of unadoptable animals, adhering to our no-kill policy.
While M.A.M.A. will continue to rescue as our capacity allows, our studies show that the number of unwanted animals in Maine has not decreased, but has dramatically increased.
M.A.M.A has searched for a solution to this problem.
We realize that it is imperative to implement a
Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program
in Maine to decrease the number of homeless animals.
M.A.M.A.'s mission for the new millenium is to raise money for a
MOBILE LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER UNIT
that will be available to all people with animals in need of these services.
Our vision is to dramatically
reduce the number of ABANDONED, ABUSED, and EUTHANIZED animals
in Maine.
Statistics have proven that this plan of mobile low cost spay/neuter is working all over the United States.*
The REDUCTION in the number of unwanted animals is staggering.
M.A.M.A. wants to be a part of this plan.
