Your Home Page, the page that visitors come
to first, will be similar to this one, except of course it will
display your information and photos. The navigation bar on the
left will be common to all pages, making it easy to get around
your site.
The hidden code (META
tags) will have written into it keywords relevant to you. Naturally,
many key words, such as 'mp3', 'music', 'download', will be common
to all artists pages, but you will help us with keywords specific
to you and your band. You will be prompted to fill in a form
field at the Order page of the shop.
Photos and graphics will
be kept small and saved in GIF format to ensure quick loading.
All you need do is send us your photos, either by email in digital
form, or hard copies by snail mail. We will do the rest.
Animations are not recommended
as they take a while to load.
Please make sure you
consider carefully what you want on your pages. If you choose
the Maintenance Option, we can make changes on demand; if you
choose the Basic Package, you will be allowed two free updates
in the first week of going public, so that you can make minor
adjustments. If you're not satisfied, we're not satisfied.
Your second page can be more detailed, more
personal. If you're familiar with the Internet, you will know
that it's a fairly informal medium. The content is entirely up
to you of course, but it should fit into a page not too much
longer than this one. A more detailed biography can go on this
page. We suggest a panel displaying links to sites relevant to
you, but not necessarily. Obviously, if you have a CD for sale,
this is where to plug it, with links to your shop. Your guestbook,
message board and mail-list-form will also link from here.
From another link on
this page, a pop
up window will
open, in which anything at all can be displayed. It can be any
size, but works better when it's smaller than the main page.
All links out will open
in new windows, making your site 'stickier'. As with this site,
if a visitor leaves your site via one of your links out, your
own page will remain open underneath the new page. He or she
will eventually have to see it again.
