There are more and more
Mp3 sites coming on line of varying quality and format. I have
pages at three: Mp3.com,
Lycos.com
and Rollingstone.com.
Mp3.com is by far the
most influential. Their services include DAM CD, pay-for-play*,
HTML editing of the pages, stats breakdown and more. They also
get a huge volume of traffic through.
I still haven't decided
which is best -- spreading yourself around or concentrating on
one site. I have two tunes as free downloads at Lycos, where
I'm number one in the Blues Genre and just one at Rollingstone,
which is a bit of a dud of a site.
Once we have your music
in mp3 format on file here, we can easily create accounts for
you at the other mp3 sites.
*Mp3.com splits $200,000 per month between
the artists with the highest number of listens, kind of like
the ASCAP or BMI payments that you get for air play. Some artists
there earn over $1000/week for streamings. You will automatically
be in the running when we sign you up and create your page. Learn
