What is Reiki

Reiki ("RAY-KEY") is a 2,500-year-old hands-on healing method to reduce stress, relieve pain and facilitate healing and personal growth. This healing art was rediscovered by Dr. Usui, a Japanese educator, in his study of ancient Buddhist teachings.
Reiki means Universal Life Force- the healing energy of the Universe. It is this energy that flows through the hands of a Reiki practitioner.
Using specific attunements, the Reiki Master empowers you to transmit Reiki energy. Once attuned, you have this ability for a lifetime and can bring this energy to yourself and promote balance and harmony on all levels of your being.
You learn and practice the hand positions to give Reiki to yourself, others, animals and plants. You leave class a fully certified Reiki practitioner.

PRACTITIONER EXCHANGE AND WALK IN CLINICS:
Local practitioners gather monthly for practitioner exchanges and offer walk-in healing sessions at the Kincardine Holistic Health Centre.

INTRODUCTION TO REIKI PROGRAM (complementary)

REIKI I CLASS Adult &Young Peoples Class (3-17 yrs)

Attunes the individual to be able to allow Universal Life- Energy (Reiki) to flow through them and out their hands. The traditional specific form for making this energy available to the self and others is taught in this class. Participants are able to transmit Reiki energy to themselves and others upon completion of the one day class.

REIKI II CLASS
Attunes the individual to be able to use traditional symbols to heal at a distance, use Reiki specifically for mental and emotional aspects and to focus the Reiki energy more specifically. Individuals in these classes are taught three traditional symbols and their use, are attuned to be able to use these symbols, and experience the use of these symbols.
