Made some minor changes to stand to wake because of suggestions from Mica.

20030531

Brand spanking new started today poem, stand to wake. I'm still working on about six other poems ... heaven only knows when I'll consider those finished and upload them.

I also added horizontal lines between all of the poems so that they would be easier to navigate.

20030521

Wow, two updates in one day, it's a miracle. Actually, this is a pretty small update. I uploaded Put It Back so you can download it in RTF format. I made some other changes too, but they aren't really interesting, so I won't bother you with them.

20030521

Uploaded the long awaited ultra-short story, Put It Back, an RTF version will be uploaded at some future date. I'm also working on several poems (about six), but I'm having trouble finishing them. Or feeling like they're finished.

20030410

Just uploaded an RTF version of Ty. The RTF file can be downloaded here. Also, the latest insanity inducing work from the Muses Green has been uploaded for your entertainment and perhaps detriment. It is called ... *duh* *duh* *dah*! Kitty Kitty.

Check out the new poem, words, just words.

20030220

I added an article called "Are Protestors Really Traitors?. I also added a Electronic Frontier Foundation Blue Ribbon button to the main index. In other news, I put up a humorous comic about duct tape on FR's Sorrow. It made Mica laugh like crazy, mwa-hahahaha.

20030213

I just posted a new poem, the only mask i own. The idea was inspired by my job, in which I feel obligated to smile for even the most absurdly evil customers. However, the actual "scope" of the poem is much larger. Drat! I feel like a stupid lit-hack for talking about the "scope" of one of my own poems.

20030209

I have posted a new short story, called Ty. It is the longest short story I've ever written (Seyr Stone: Vaclav doesn't really count since it's not really a short story anymore, it's more of a series). I have also written a new article on ADD/ADHD. It can be located here.

I also started a new website, FinalRain's Sorrow. It's kind of any artsy website, but it does have a funny short (extremely short) story called "Tower of Doom."

I haven't really been keeping up with this news section, if I had the things mentioned in this post would have been in three or four different posts. Sorry about that. When I get my new website up, I'm going to rename this section to "updates" and have a "news" section that will actually be an archive of the comments I write up on the news articles I link to. It makes more sense that way, but I didn't really think I'd be linking to news articles when I completed the current iteration of this website.

... And there was much rejoicing! "Yay!" Or something like that. I finally got around to finishing one of the many poems that sits unfinished on me hard drive (argh maties). It is called words on glass. There is also a new one which I have only been working on for four days, it is called of mercy. I hope to make this not-procrastinating-very-much thing a trend for me. We shall see ;).

20021105

I have posted a review of William Golding's "Lord of the Flies."

20021031

Three new poems: Broken, Dark and Shallow, and Molten Embers. More will follow, stay tuned for updates.

20020906

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, I've been pretty busy with work and school. Plus, I have quite a bit of poetry that I'm in the process of finishing. Some of it just doesn't want to get ... perfected? Hehehe. Anyway, thanks for your patience. There is a new poem, it is called sun peaks over the horizon. No, I couldn't think of a shorter name, sorry ;).

Hopefully I'll have the other stuff I've been working on up soon.

20020719

Whoo-hoo! I finally finished it. "What is it," you ask? It is my latest short story, Sleeper. As promised, and on schedule. "What schedule," you ask? The one I never told you about so that whenever I got around to releasing it, I could say I was on schedule. That's the schedule! Mwa-hahahah!

With any luck, I'll have another one ready soon. How soon is soon? I dunno ;)

20020715

Seems like the only updates I do lately are poetry updates ... alas! But here is another one: Myths I Make Myself. I do have a short story on the way, but I'm not going to tell you what it is until I upload it. Sorry. The other thing that is slowing me down is the fact that I am working on writing a body of political arguments/etc. When I have it ready, I'll post the link here.

20020611

I have a new poem up (wish i had a dime), I have been a little slow to start new writing projets of late. That is the primary reason why the site hasn't been updated regularly. Looking over the past news, I've updated about once every month. I intend to change that.

That's not written in stone though, so don't complain if I don't succeed. One thing I'm working on is a short story (shhh, the name is still a secret). I should also finish chapter four in the Darren Vaclav story. Should ... we'll see if I can motivate myself to do it. Convincing myself to write the last one was like pulling teeth. The next one should be easier to write as its not such a (personally for me) emotional chapter. However, once burned, twice shy as some presumably wise person said somewhere along the line, right?

Oh, I'm soooo good at coming up with excuses for myself ;)

20020517

A poem is born! Sorry for that bit of cheesiness, I appologise with the utmost sincerity ;). Anyway, it's called "Ground's Edge." Enjoy.

20020425

I just uploaded a new poem, Quién. Yes, the title and subject of the poem are hidden, but I think the meaning/feeling of the poem will still come across.

20020317

Uploaded an article on the situation in Israel, it is entitled The American Hypocricy. Update on 20020404: In the original commentary I stated that every day a higher percentage of Israelis are being killed by terrorism than Americans have been killed by terrorism in the past ten years. I read a more recent article (which I don't have the link to, sorry) that said that the death of one Israeli is the population equivalent of somewhere in the 600-800 Americans range. If one Israeli per day is killed by terrorists, then it would be something like, "Every five days more Israelis (percentage wise again) are killed by terrorists than have been killed in American in the past ten years." For the sake of soolash, I'm going to call that a week. The commentary has been fixed.

20020303

I uploaded two new poems today. The first is called "The Statue." You can click on the previous link to reach it, don't worry, it doesn't bite. According to my intuition and a perfunctory check, this is the largest poem I have posted yet, please please please don't give up on it!

The second poem, Sanctum, has some stylistic similarities to E. E. Cummings. Guess whose poetry I've been reading lately? No, still not Robert Frost ... E. E. Cummings.

20020227

For the few, brave, fateful handful who actually read this, I have indeed updated. Blah blah blah, my excuse this time is school. I'm going against my principles by even going, but I don't seem to have too much of a choice now that it's impossible to get my money back ;)

I added a new article (entitled "I Look Like I Know What's Going On"), unlike my other articles, it doesn't have anything to do with politics or patriotism or the like. It's short, and, hopefully, not too boring.

I also added a link to a news article on Yahoo!News. Hopefully, I won't be getting any cease and desist notices for that. The article is about the Council of Europe's attempt to restrict "hate speech" on the net, you can read it here (just in case you don't want to hop all the way over to the index ;)).

I hope to have a new poem up in the next week or so, assuming I my "editor" approves (where are you anyway, Austin?).

Almost forgot, started using a special format for drawing your attention to new stuff from the index. You can view that at, where else, the index.

20011228

Fixed some errors in Poetry/Writing section. Fixed errors in the first chapter of the Darren Vaclav series (did the stylesheet too). I also fixed a typo in Parchment (part of the Miscellaneous section). I've almost decided that the stuff I put in the miscellaneous section is prose, but I'm still not sure.

Hopefully, I'll be putting some more stuff up really soon. I found these errors and had to get 'em fixed right away. Oh, almost forgot. I made a new address specifically for this website, and I changed all the "Mailto" links on the website to match the new address. You can now reach me @ finalrain@hotmail.com

20011202

Finally! The second and third chapters of the Seyr Stone: Darren Vaclav series is up!

I added a new "thingy" to the Poetry&Writing/Miscellaneous/ section. It's called Time's Currency.

20011004

If you need to send me information securely, my PGP Public Key is now located in the About Finalrain section.

I've got a lot of stuff going on, so I haven't done much to the website, but what follows is a description of what I have done. I've added a new poem called "The Hill of Neter Cason". It's an experiment and I'm not sure how I like the results, But give it a try ;).

I moved the stuff I had about the WTC Massacre to it's own article, WTC Massacre.

Also, if you were really looking forward to the "Digital Creation" shirt I promised, bad news. It's probably not going to happen. I couldn't get it to look as kewl as I thought I could. If I figure out a way to make it look nice, I'll make it. Don't hold your breath though.

This may not sound like big news, but I've fixed the quotes again. You can go see the previous quotes (one from Alan Keyes and another from Poor Old Lu) in the quotes section. Also, the current QOTW is from a song by Wedding Party. If you ever see a cd called "Wedding Party" with the word "Anthems" on it, buy it. It is some of the best music I've ever heard, and the songs are amazing. (That's true for "Poor Old Lu" as well, both are hard to find).

20010919

I'm really sorry it has taken me so long to update, I was going to do it last week, but the whole 9-11-01 WTC disaster happened and I couldn't bring myself to update. The week before that I was out of town.

I'll have the 2nd chapter of Darren Vaclav up (hopefully) by Friday. I'm actually farther along in chapter 3 than in the 2nd, so you may have both at once.

20010712

I just added the first chapter of the Darren Vaclav series. Hope you enjoy. I also added a short limmerick to The Muses Green.

Sorry about the long time on updates, I was at Cornerstone 2001 last week, and had no inet access. I had a great time, but now I have to kick things back into gear. If anyone knows when Agent Narfman will be arriving, I would be greatful to hear about it, you can contact me: Here.

20010605

I just realized that I still had a music section on this website and hadn't done anything with it in practically forever, OOPS! So I'm fixing that up, and have added a link to my new mp3.com station (Heavy Rain). No promises, but I may start "selling" (through affiliate programs) my favorite Christian CDs.

Also, I have designed a few T-Shirts for CafePress.com, I'm trying to think of how I should "showcase" 'em here, but until I figure out that, they'll be available here. I'm in the process of designing a T-Shirt (tenatively called "Digital Creation"), which will incorporate the entire first chapter of Genesis in binary, and have a few other cool things.

20010512

I've added a new poetry section, and designed a new setup for the whole thing. The original poems are still in the "poetry.html" file (so if you had bookmarked the old files, your bookmarks will still work), but I've added "poetry2.html," and all of the poems can be accessed from the new "Poetry Index" (Which, BTW, is what the Writing Section now links to.) The new poems are Lonely Night, The New Level, Memories, Open Field, and Dreamscape.

20010429

Added some poetry by The Muses Green, the poem is called "Thinking." Hope you enjoy.

20010414

A few days ago, I discovered a conflict between my HTML and the Javascript used by NameZero.com, however, I was unable to fix it when I first found it. Guess why? Something chewed my network cable and I couldn't access the net over my comp! Dratted beast. Anyway, my comp appears to be working now, so I've fixed that.

Also, I found out some of the headings for my pages were still screwed up ("Quotes" showed up at the heading for many pages, I don't know how I missed it!), so I'm fixing that. I also added a new poem (Twelve) to the poetry section.

20010331

As per the request of Mica-Chan, I've added anchor tags to all my poems, hehehe. When she mentioned it, I said to myself, "D'oh! Why didn't I think of that?!" Oh well, that's fixed now, so you can link to individual poems now (example: Tomorrow).

In the process of fixing that, I found that I had a lot of unnecessary spaces in my code. I fixed that, but you won't notice the difference 'cause (Mwa-HAHAHA) it doesn't show up on screen anyway! If I hadn't added the anchor tags, removing the extra spaces would have made the page load a little faster. However, adding the anchor tags compensated for the decrease in size, so it all evens out.
Confused? That's okay! The most important thing is that you enjoy the poetry!

20010326

I've only just gotten the new design up, and what do I find out? I forgot to fix a lot of stuff! ARGH!!!!! Oh well, its mostly fixed now. Notable fixes are the reinstatement of the MegaTokyo and Lethal Doses links. Additionally, I stuck UserFriendly.org back where it belonged, in the WebComics section.

Another important fix, is that I've decided that I will continue the practice of showing the date I last updated the website. For some reason, when I was redesigning the website, I didn't think I wanted to continue that. However, now that the website is so big, I think my friends, family, enemies, etc., will have a hard time figureing out when I've changed stuff. I may also include links to my latest updates, we'll see.

20010324

I finally got around to updating the website. YAHOO! As some of you may know, this has been months in the making, mostly, however, cause I am THE KING OF PROCRASTINATION™. Sorry about that! There are still many changes that have not yet taken place, but they will likely take place soon.

On a "personal" note, I'm in the process of finding a new job. No, I haven't lost the old one, but I would kill to get rid of it. So, if you want to hire a guy with approximately 7 years of HTML experience, 4 years of Photoshop, 8 years of M$ Word and Word Perfect, Contact Me..
