- K-Meleon - K-meleon is the only full featured (supports all the html/css goodies that Netscape 6.0 does) webbrowser that is unbloated. The download size is approx. 4MB, and the full install is 9MB. It is also very customisable, and makes it quite simple to block pop up/under ads.
- Mail and News - Offers free e-mail service with POP3/SMPT/IMAP4/Web. To top it off, it's fast and reliable too! I've already gotten about ten of my friends to start using it, and they all love it.
- MindBeat - A good free/shareware website. If you're trying to increase your system stability, you might want to check out their MPower program, which defrags your RAM.
- Pegasus Mail - A long time ago, I set out to find a decent replacement for Outlook. I got more than I bargained for ;). Pegasus Mail is far better than Outlook.
- StarOffice 5.2 - StarOffice is Sun's answer to Microsoft Word. It can open any type of MS Office Document I've thrown at it so far (Don't know about the XP file formats), as well as many Corel Word Perfect files. You can download v.5.2 for free, the only thing it seems to be missing is the thesaurus, which is in the full version. Additionaly, it is available in a wide variety of OSes (Windows, Linux, Solaris (Intel and Sparc), unlike Word, which is only available in Windows and MacOS.
- Trillian - Trillian is a IM program that lets you use IRC/MSN Messenger/AIM/ICQ/Yahoo simultaneously from the same program. It also has a wider variety of graphical smileys than those IM programs have natively.
