I have to tell you. When Frank Bellaire from the DHSS agreed to do a review
of the state agency files on both of my agencies, I was somewhat leery, to say
the least.
The AODA field is by nature, prone to angry clients. NOBODY likes to be ordered
to treatment. I knew I ran the risk of opening up a hornet's nest.
But, I wanted a copy of the complaint against me and I had exhausted all other
avenues in attempt to get it.
When Bellaire said that there had never been a single complaint against me or A
Plus since we opened, I about fell off my chair. I swear, I had no idea that our
record was that clean.
I was really flattered. I have the letter documenting that review but I'm afraid
it came a little too late to be of any help in saving the business.
After I got the letter, I again wrote Mark Quam and told him I wanted to see
this complaint he was supposed to have. He wrote back saying I couldn't see it
and added the smart remark that: I should get on with my life, if that was at
all possible.
I guess that letter falls under the Brown County Mission Statement section under
"courteous".
Cheers,
Evie
