Getting Started

First of all, all directions are for right-handed people. Just reverse left and right for right handed people.

To start the Diablo, roll it along the floor (on the string), from right to left. After it has gone half a meter or so, pick it up off the ground. It should be slowly spinning and probably wobbling.

Now move your hands alternately up and down. The movement should be very uneven. Quickly up with your right then slowly up with your left (while moving the other hand in the opposite direction of course). The Diablo may fall off at first. Don't worry! Just try again.

After a while, if not already, the Diablo will start to tilt. There is a very easy way to stop this. If it is leaning towards you (i.e. the bell farthest away is up), push your right handstick forward. If it is leaning away (i.e. the nearest bell is up), pull right handstick closer to you. Simple. When you've mastered that, go onto the simple tricks!
