Who the hell am I?

Besides being a typical, white collar, suburbanite slob who's ridden Harleys for over ten years? What else is there? I currently ride a '98 Wide Glide, 'bout 30K miles on her as of this writing. I ride her every chance I get, even when prudence would have me cage it. I could go on about how many miles I put on in notoriously bad weather, that I'm becoming expert at riding across the steel decks of ships in third gear, or that if you say you're a good motorcyclist, you're gonna drop it in the next week.

So what is really important to me?

Freedom. Plain and simple. I am an educated, responsible adult. I should have the freedom to do whatever I want to, so long as it does not adversely affect others. I believe any responsible adult should have the same. This is what our Bill of Rights gave us.

The difference between me and the average person is they don't give a damn. Unless it's for their little "Special Interest Group" thing (think "tree hugger" or "Cannibus Party"). I am not just interested in motorcyclist's rights, but every person's rights.

I believe I am the only person who is capable of making fully informed decisions regarding my well-being. My elected representatives and the bureaucracy are not capable of making these choices for me. How dare they assume personal responsibility for an individual. By taking that responsibility from us, we allow them to take our rights later. Get involved.

A speech to Gen X'ers: "It's too late for you to work within the system, but it's still way too early to shoot the bastards".
