Ghosting Goto your buddy list,
click on setup,
click on privacy preferences,
select "Block all AOL members and AOL Instant Messenger Users",
select under apply "Buddy List and Instant Messages"

Kill Hourglass (Kill Wait) When there is an hourglass, move the hourglass over "help" on the menu and double click on it until the hourglass goes away. Now, click on "help" and then click on "About America Online". When the about box appears, you can click "ok". You are now, un-frozen!

AOL Idler If you wish to go idle for a long time or you don't want to use an idle bot, you can go to keyword: quickmenu . This brings up a new-users quick menu, but it can also be used as AOL's own idler!
