Perhaps the finest set of rock and roll I've ever seen was in September of 2004. I had traveled to Boston to see the Muffs play at TT's, and while I was in town I also stopped by the Abbey Lounge to see the Downbeat 5. Their set was astonishing. They had one record out at the time and I really liked it, but it did not prepare me for how incredible their live set was. Amazing! It almost ruined the Muffs show for me, it was so damn good (not quite, though; I enjoyed that too).
I didn't have a camera with me that night, but I've seen them a couple of times since then
